Architecture, Building and Structure Design Liao Liao One Cup Cafe by Zhijiang Shan Adjacent to the Luoyang Museum, this cafe uses passive house principles to reduce reliance on mechanical cooling. The sculptural roofline, inspired by the ancient Luo River, facilitates natural ventilation while serving as the building's defining architectural element. Weathered Corten steel and mirror-polished stainless steel create material tension that eliminates the need for decorative finishes. The design demonstrates that climate responsive strategies can shape the character of commercial architecture in heritage contexts.
