Architecture, Building and Structure Design Komazawa Daigaku Station by Uds Ltd. This project transforms an inorganic subway station into a cherished public space. Park-inspired, the "Under the Park" concept casts the station as a tree: an underground "roots" concourse and "symbolic tree" buildings with unified visibility. A unique sustainable methodology groups components by three lifecycles: permanent "Ground," aging "Trees," and renewable "Leaves". This creates a park-like space that invites staying, redefining the station as a sustainable community hub.
