Architecture, Building and Structure Design North Light Musical Art Center by Meng Zhao The Light of the North reinterprets cultural architecture within a shrinking Nordic town, where population decline has weakened public life. Rather than creating an isolated landmark, the project extends the civic logic of the adjacent Aalto Town Hall through continuity of material, scale, and spatial sequence. Brick volumes frame movement and interaction, while circulation forms a continuous public landscape linking interior and exterior. By integrating performance and informal gathering, the project positions architecture as social infrastructure that supports community cohesion.
